FORT WORTH, Texas: Go Fas Racing will announce Friday it has entered a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing for the 2020 Cup Series season.
The opportunity to partner with one of Ford’s most competitive organizations at the sport’s elite level will continue to allow the Mooresville, N.C.-based team to elevate their family-owned
program as they inch closer to being a consistent top-20 team on a weekly basis.
“2020 will be an exciting year at Go Fas Racing with the addition of SHR cars and their technical assistance,” team owner Archie St. Hilaire said. “I can’t thank all of the great people at SHR for the opportunity to align with them. All of this couldn’t happen without the help of our wonderful sponsors and marketing partners.
“Go Fas Racing has improved every year in our six years in the NASCAR Cup Series and I believe that the best is yet to come for this little team and our great group of employees.”
Through the alliance agreement, SHR will provide Go Fas Racing with the chassis, data and technical support for the team’s No. 32 Ford Mustang. Go Fas will continue its current relationship with Ford Performance and Roush Yates Engines.
“This arrangement will allow Go Fas Racing to improve its performance in 2020 and position itself for future growth,” offered Greg Zipadelli, Vice President of Competition for SHR.
Entering Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, St. Hilaire has more than 200 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts giving a wide array of drivers the opportunity to compete at NASCAR’s top level including champion drivers and brothers Bobby and Terry Labonte.
Other drivers that have piloted for Go Fas Racing include Jeb Burton, Patrick Carpentier, Matt DiBenedetto, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Kerry Earnhardt, Travis Kvapil, Dylan Lupton, Boris Said, Mike Skinner, Scott Speed and Josh Wise.
Corey Lajoie, son of two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Randy Lajoie has piloted the No. 32 Ford Mustang this season. He earned the team their career-best finish of sixth at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in July.
Go Fas Racing has not determined a driver for 2020.
