MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 21, 2025) — Sam Hunt, president and owner of Sam Hunt Racing (SHR), is pleased to announce the appointment of Jesse Little as Vice President of Business Development, bringing a lifetime of experience in the NASCAR footprint and career experience in leadership, logistics and business development.
“It goes without saying that this is an exciting and important hire for SHR, as we continue working to grow the business and properly manage our efficiency along the way,” said owner Sam Hunt. “Jesse has been completely embedded in the NASCAR garage his entire life, is business educated, and properly reflects my values and moral compass as a leader. He cares about people, whilst being a high-energy, high-level operator that brings even more youthful energy and passion to our team.”
Little has been a leading force in the garage since he began his career in the competition department at NASCAR in 2022, taking the role of Manager, Competition Operations. He took on the role following graduation from the Belk School of Business at UNC-Charlotte in 2021, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems. At NASCAR, he led logistics efforts for race weekends and handled competition manners across all three of NASCAR’s national series.
“Sam has done an exceptional job growing his program into a competitive and respected force within the NASCAR garages. He’s created an environment for people passionate about this sport, where they can show their value and help grow the organization as a whole. I’m thrilled to be joining SHR and look forward to working with the great group of people there. We’re excited to show everyone the potential of this race team,” said Little.
Little has spent his entire life walking through the garages during NASCAR event weekends as he watched his father, Chad Little, compete in his final years as a driver before taking competition and technical-based leadership roles at NASCAR. Jesse Little eagerly followed in his father’s footsteps as a young race car driver to leadership at NASCAR. Little grew up racing, eying a career as a racecar driver. He competed in the formerly known NASCAR K&N Pro Series East against Hunt and was led by SHR’s current crew chief Kris Bowen, before moving up to NASCAR’s Truck and Xfinity Series, then moving into a leadership role in the competition department at NASCAR. Little boasts a wealth of knowledge of the NASCAR industry as a driver, son, and internal league leader, bringing that experience over to Sam Hunt Racing.
The addition of Little and the role of VP, Business Development marks an exciting step forward for the Sam Hunt Racing organization, combining youth and business leadership to take the team to the next level on and off the track.
