BROOKLYN, Mich. – Gaunt Brothers Racing announced Friday that Jeffrey Earnhardt will drive the team’s No. 96 Xtreme Concepts Toyota Camry in 13 of the remaining Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races this season beginning with Sunday’s Consumer Energy’s 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
Earnhardt, 29, made his debut with Gaunt Bros. Racing at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway last month finishing 29th after starting 19th. The only race he won’t be in the car will be next weekend at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.
NASCAR Next alumnus Jesse Little is scheduled to drive the car in Thunder Valley before Earnhardt returns at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway on Sept. 2.
His sponsor, Xtreme Concepts is a worldwide leader in providing turnkey security solutions, special operations training and technology integration to Government agencies, Department of Defense and commercial entities on a global scale.
Earnhardt, a native of Mooresville, N.C. has made eight Cup starts this season. His best finish came at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in July driving for Premium Motorsports.

“We had a solid run at Pocono Raceway with the Gaunt Brothers Racing team, and I am looking forward to growing the relationship with the team and bringing home some good finishes this year.”
Ahead of his fifth Cup start at Michigan, Earnhardt has 66 career starts to his credit.
