To have the support of companies that share my values and commitment to tenacity, endurance and female empowerment, is a dream come true. From here on, I’ll gain the essential experience I will need in order to be successful. During the week, I’ll be driving in the sim, working with the teams and learning as much as possible.”
“I’ve followed Katherine’s journey for quite some time and have immense respect for everything she’s accomplished—both on and off the track,” said Jordan Anderson, founder of Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport. “Her relentless determination, fierce competitive spirit and refusal to back down truly set her apart. What she’s achieved across so many different disciplines of motorsports is a testament to her talent, resilience and drive. We’re incredibly proud to have her join our team and continue building her experience in stock car racing. This schedule represents a big step forward. With the support of Team Chevy behind us, I have no doubt she’ll rise to the occasion and make the most of every opportunity. DROPLiGHT’s suite of products are also fantastic. I’m excited to introduce a slew of new brands to the paddock but the first is one that’s also very organic in more ways than one! Anyone who knows me, knows that I love tequila, because it’s clean, and I can enjoy the occasional drink without carbs and sugar. I’m beyond proud to be working alongside Sherfick Companies and the DROPLiGHT team.”
“Katherine is relentless in her approach to racing and is such a positive role model for other female racers to follow their dreams,” said Dr. Eric Warren, Executive Director – Global Motorsports Competition, General Motors. “We are excited about the opportunity to support her in her efforts both on and off the track.”
Katherine’s race schedule kicks off Saturday, April 19th at Rockingham Speedway and runs through August 17 at Richmond Raceway, with the possibility of more races being added to the schedule.
Fans of the British racecar driver will recall her performances at such storied tracks as Autódromo Motor Speedway in Mexico City, where she made history in 2019 by winning from the pole position and becoming the first female driver to win a race during an ABB FIA Formula E weekend. In Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Katherine set the record in 2023 for the fastest qualifying effort for a woman in Indianapolis 500 history. At Watkins Glen International, Legge participated in several IMSA endurance races, winning in 2017.
Katherine’s 20-year career spans nearly every other discipline in motorsport, and now the legacy athlete is being provided the tools required to create a more diverse paddock for future generations, inspiring millions of young athletes to follow in her footsteps. Legge looks forward to sharing more on how she will use that legacy in the months and years to come.
