FORT WORTH, Texas (APRIL 2, 2025) – Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas will benefit from three major fundraising events, including the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame Luncheon presented by WÜRTH honoring Kevin Harvick, during the May 2-4 WÜRTH 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY NASCAR tripleheader weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
The SCC event lineup begins Thursday, May 1, with the return of the popular Bill Walker Memorial Gears & Greens Golf Tournament presented by Premier Truck Group. The tourney will be held across the street from the speedway at the DFW Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle.
The day, which has an 8 a.m. shotgun start, includes a welcome breakfast, activities on the course, silent auction and an awards luncheon. Foursomes are $1,000 with individual signups at $225 for the tourney that is nearing a sellout and complete field. In addition to Premier Truck Group, the golf tourney is supported by Fleetguard, Texas Health Resources, GoVision and Sunbelt Rentals with additional sponsorship opportunities available beginning at $500. On Friday, May 2, SCC-Texas will play host to the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame Luncheon presented by WÜRTH honoring retired NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) superstar Kevin Harvick for his 2025 induction. The luncheon for Harvick, a 60-time NCS winner and 2014 series champion, will be held from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in The Speedway Club Ballroom. Local FOX 4 sports anchor Mike Doocy will serve as emcee and PRN’s lead anchor Brad Gillie as moderator.
The luncheon includes a candid “Fireside Chat” with Harvick and Gillie, panel discussion regarding the impact of motorsports on the Fort Worth community, silent auction and lunch. The nearby city of Roanoke will also provide a fundraising avenue for SCC-Texas with the Roanoke Roundup on Saturday, May 3, from noon to 9 p.m. This free family-oriented affair features the annual steak cookoff competition, BBQ Pitmaster tasting, live music, eating competitions and more in the city’s historic downtown. · 50/50 Raffle: One lucky fan will have the opportunity to take home 50 percent of the weekend jackpot from the tickets sold while the other half will benefit SCC’s mission to serve children with critical needs. Tickets will be available all three days from gate open to close at various locations throughout the TMS property, including the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. The drawing’s winning numbers will be announced following the conclusion of Sunday’s WÜRTH 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY NCS race.
· The Legacy Shop: This unique souvenir shop will be open all three days of track activity with various one-of-a-kind speedway treasures and autographed memorabilia for purchase to benefit SCC.
