BROOKLYN, Mich. – Tyler Reddick had taken the lead for the FireKeepers Casino 400 five laps before NASCAR red-flagged the race for rain.
After starting 15th and working his way to the front, the driver of the No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota was hoping to keep rolling.
“I’m ready to strap in and go again,” Reddick said. “I’m really happy with the speed of our car. But it’s a bummer. Where we’re at right now, I would have loved to see this out for the rest of the day. It would have been great if the race just played out naturally.
“We were in a good position to take advantage of it. It just didn’t happen.”
