Back for his 19th ARCA Menards season, Ed Pompa has again teamed up with Fast Track Racing for the ARCA season opener at Daytona.
“Can’t wait to get back to Daytona. This will be my 11th race there, but lady luck hasn’t been easy on me over the years here. 10 races here so far, five races where I was running at the finish. Last years’ car (Tiger) was destroyed in the Lap 3 accident. Had been racing that chassis at Daytona, Dega and Pocono for 5 years.”
Ed will be bringing the Double H Ranch along for the ride again. “For every ARCA and ARCA East race I’ve run over 18 years, Double H Ranch has been on the car.” Double H Ranch is a camp for seriously ill kids, in Lake Luzerne, NY. A part of the ‘serious fun camp’ group co-founded by philanthropist Charlie Wood and Paul Newman. It opened its’ doors in 1993.

Since 2009, Ed has been raising money for Double H through his racing. “100 % of any money that companies would put towards sponsoring me and my racing efforts, I would have them donate it directly to the Double H Ranch and I put their name/logo on my car for free. Our family has been blessed, and this is a small way of giving back. Thanks to my wife Nancy for her support of my racing all these years.”
“This year the Daytona ride is the ‘Double H Ranch Ford Fusion’. Normally the primary sponsor would be listed ahead of Double H, but the company that is the primary this year decided to have me put Double H Ranch on the rear fenders instead of his company logo. He wanted Double H to get more exposure. Great idea.”
Same team, new car for Daytona and a new spotter. Ed’s longtime spotter Randy Bradshaw retired at the end of 2024. Jason Jarrett has come on board to be his eyes in the sky.
“Andy Hillenburg and the Fast Track team have been fantastic to work with over the years. That’s why I keep coming back. I’ve got 4 Fast Track Racing teammates for Daytona, so hopefully we can all work together, survive and bring home some great finishing positions.”
Ed has planned a partial 2025 schedule: Daytona, Pensacola (ARCA East), Talladega, Lime Rock Park, Dover, Watkins Glen International and Salem.
