MOORESVILLE, N.C.: Rette Jones Racing announced today a significant expansion of its motorsports program, confirming it will field a full-time entry in the NASCAR Euro Series beginning with the season opener at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain on April 12–13, 2025.
The NASCAR Euro Series has rapidly grown into one of Europe’s most dynamic and diverse racing championships, drawing large grids and a wide range of international drivers to every event.
The series brings the excitement of NASCAR to iconic and historic circuits across Europe, with races held in countries including Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Rette Jones Racing, in partnership with Hendriks Motorsport, will field the No. 30 Ford Mustang for a full-season championship campaign in the NASCAR Euro Series with drivers Liam Hezemans and Gil Linster.
Hezemans, a native of Amsterdam, Netherlands, brings a strong résumé to the program as the 2022 EuroNASCAR 2 champion and a 10-time race winner in the series. He is also the younger brother of Loris Hezemans, a two-time EuroNASCAR champion and former competitor in the NASCAR national series.
Linster, from Frisange, Luxembourg, will reunite with Hezemans under the Rette Jones Racing banner for the 2025 season.
A former Euro Series race winner, Linster gained international attention last February with an impressive top-10 finish in the ARCA Menards Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway, driving for Kimmel Racing.
For the upcoming season, Hezemans will compete in the EuroNASCAR PRO division, while Linster will continue his pursuit of success in the EuroNASCAR OPEN division.
“This is a proud day for our Rette Jones Racing team,” said team co-owner Mark Rette. “Since the end of last year, we’ve been exploring opportunities to expand our platform internationally, and entering the NASCAR Euro Series with Gil and Liam is a perfect fit for our organization.
“We’re thrilled to partner with two proven, winning drivers and to align technically with Hendrix Motorsports — one of the most respected teams in the Euro Series.
“We’re confident in a smooth transition into the series and fully expect to be competitive right out of the gate in Spain, with our sights set on contending for the championship.”
Jerome Galpin, NASCAR Euro Series president, added, “Welcoming Rette Jones Racing to the NASCAR Euro Series is another exciting step in the journey we started in 2009 to build stronger transatlantic ties within the NASCAR family.
“As a well-respected and competitive team in American NASCAR racing, their arrival brings another valuable experience, professionalism, and fresh energy to our paddock.
“More and more drivers and U.S.-based teams are recognizing the huge opportunities our European championship offers, both on and off the track. This is a great moment for the series and for the global growth of NASCAR.”
For drivers Hezemans and Linster, this partnership with Rette Jones Racing expands their competitive reach and provides an opportunity to contend for a championship with the support of a proven, race-winning organization and a strengthened technical alliance.
It also marks a significant step in their careers as they represent an established American team on the European stage, further bridging the gap between NASCAR competition in the U.S. and abroad.
“I’m really excited to join Rette Jones Racing for the 2025 season,” said Hezemans. “Having the opportunity to represent an American team in the NASCAR Euro Series is a big step for me, and I’m proud to be part of this new chapter.
“With the experience and resources this team brings, I’m confident we’ll be able to fight for wins and challenge for the championship right from the start.”
Linster added, “I’m really proud to continue my journey in the NASCAR Euro Series with Rette Jones Racing. This opportunity means a lot — especially having the support of an American team with such a strong reputation.
“Racing at Daytona last year was a massive moment for me in my Motorsports career, and I’m looking forward to building on the relationships I formed in the United States as I continue to grow as a driver.
“I’m confident this partnership will help me take another step forward in my career.”
In addition to their NASCAR Euro Series efforts, Rette Jones Racing is actively developing a pathway for Linster and Hezemans to compete in the United States as part of the team’s multi-faceted international program this season.
“We’re really excited about what this expansion means for Rette Jones Racing,” said team co-owner Terry Jones. “Competing in the NASCAR Euro Series is a big step for us, and it opens the door for even more international opportunities.
“Liam and Gil are both talented, motivated drivers, and we’re looking forward to not only supporting them in Europe but also building a path for them to race in the United States as part of our long-term vision.”
Team co-owner Mark Rette, along with newly appointed Vice President of Business Operations Greg Zipadelli, will oversee the NASCAR Euro Series program, which will be based in Europe.
