CONCORD — One of the annual summertime traditions will continue this June at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway when the Summer Shootout returns for a 23rd season from June 9 – July 29. The eight-week event which mixes Bandoleros and the U.S. Legend Cars on the quarter mile frontstretch has produced epic racing and even better finishes.
This year, Bojangles will lift off their first of a five-year commitment as title sponsor of the Summer Shootout Series. The Southeast chain has donated $15,000 in gift cards to the top-five finishers in each division each week.
Additionally, the Performance Racing Network will carry a live stream of the races. A season pass is available for eight nights at $9.99 a night, while a nightly pass is also available at $14.99 a night. MAVTV will also offer a condensed version of the Summer Shootout Series airing nine days after each scheduled race.
Dillon Faggart will carry sponsorship from MAVTV this season at Charlotte. Faggart advances to the Pro division after a successful stint in the Semi-Pro.
Following Sprint Cup Series qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600, the U.S. Legend Cars will host an “All-Star” event. Current NASCAR Next and K&N Pro Series East winner William Byron is entered.
The Bojangles Summer Shootout Series officially kicks off on Monday, June 8 and Tuesday June 9. The remaining races will be held on Tuesday thereafter.
