Sandusky, Ohio (August 5th, 2024) – Nashville Stampede, the inaugural PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams Champions, has partnered with ThorSport Racing to be the primary partner on defending series champion Ben Rhodes’ No. 99 Ford F-150 for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Clean Harbors 250 at Richmond Raceway on Saturday, August 10 at 7:30 p.m. et on FS1.
“Greatness recognizes greatness, and 2022 PBR TEAMS Champions Nashville Stampede is honored to partner with ThorSport Racing to support Ben Rhodes’ in the No. 99 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at Richmond Raceway on his quest for another championship,” said Stampede General Manager Tina Battock. “Our professional bull riding fans have a shared interest in the grit and intensity demonstrated in NASCAR, and we’re thrilled to cheer for Ben and ThorSport Racing.”
Nashville Stampede competes in the groundbreaking PBR Teams league, which transforms bull riding from an individual sport into one where riders compete on teams. During the league’s inaugural season in 2022, the Stampede made a Cinderella run at the 2022 PBR Teams Championship, rising from No. 8 to win the year-end title. In the seasons since, Nashville has been a force on the dirt under the leadership of two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride, boasting a deep roster that includes the likes of three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves.
As a family-owned team with deep roots in the Western way of life, they work hard, play hard, and do it all together. Their partnership with ThorSport Racing and Ben Rhodes at Richmond Raceway highlights how their cowboy ethos seamlessly aligns with the high-speed, adrenaline-fueled nature of NASCAR racing.
Rhodes is coming off his second Truck Series championship in 2023, joining an elite group of drivers with two or more titles. He aims to secure a playoff spot at Richmond as he seeks his third championship. Richmond has historically been a strong track for Rhodes, with an average finish of 10th, and he hopes to capitalize on this consistency.
“It’s no secret that horses and Western culture are part of ThorSport Racing’s DNA. Over my years at ThorSport, I’ve grown from an observer to a big fan of bull riding and PBR. So, obviously, this partnership gets me fired up! With so much on the line going into Richmond, they seem like the perfect fit with their adrenaline-fueled nature and this high-stakes race.” said Ben Rhodes.
Tune into FOX Sports 1 (FS1) to catch all the racing action from Richmond Raceway on Saturday, August 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Listen to the race on the Motor Racing Network Radio (MRN) or SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.
