B.J. McLeod Motorsports will announce this afternoon that Densify will be the primary marketing partner for Ryan Ellis’s NASCAR XFINITY Series return next month at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
The race will signify Densify’s first involvement in NASCAR and first race partnered with Ellis.
The introduction was spawned thanks to a former executive with Science Logic who backed Ellis previously in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.
Densify is a cloud optimization company, using machine-learning technology to analyze customer cloud usage patterns, and proactively recommends what changes they should make.
Delivered as a full cloud optimization service based on SaaS technology, there is no software to install, maintain, or learn, and no need to hire additional staff.
“We are very excited to sponsor Ryan Ellis,” said Yama Habibzai, Chief Marketing Officer at Densify. “Densify is at a massive inflection point in the business, which has allowed us to partner with amazing events like NASCAR.”
The 28-year-old Ellis has made 46 career XFINITY Series starts over six years with a best finish of 15th at Daytona in 2016 driving for Rick Ware Racing. The 2018 season-opener will mark
the Virginian’s second career start at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in XFINITY competition.
Joe Lax will lead his efforts at B.J. McLeod Motorsports.
“I couldn’t be happier to have Densify sponsor our racecar at the biggest race of the NASCAR XFINITY season,” said Ellis. “It’s been great getting to know their company over the last couple of months and I am already familiar with many of the people that work there.
“We’re going to do our best to give them a great showing on the track and off and make sure that we can work together for a long time. I can’t thank everyone at Densify enough for giving us this opportunity.”
Led by the husband and wife combination of B.J. and Jessica McLeod, B.J. McLeod Motorsports has steadily gained traction with their superspeedway program recently. McLeod earned a career-best 11th last summer at Daytona.
Ellis still eyeing his first career NASCAR top-10 believes the team will give him the ingredients he needs to have an impact race.
“I’m really excited to race for B.J. McLeod Motorsports as well,” Ellis added. “They’re an extremely competitive team and we’re going to do everything we can to bring home a top-10 finish.”
It will be a busy Speedweeks for the newly married Ellis. In addition to his XFINITY Series responsibilities, his full-time job is the public relations representative for Matt DiBenedetto in the Cup Series at Go FAS Racing.
DiBenedetto is guaranteed to make the Daytona 500 – so it proposes a busy week for Ellis.
“I’m very thankful that Archie and Mason St. Hilaire are allowing me this chance to run at Daytona even with all the responsibilities on the Cup side,” added Ellis. “It’s going to be a cool deal. Someday I hope I’ll have the opportunity to compete in the Daytona 500, but for now I’m focused on doing a good job on Saturday behind the wheel and guiding and supporting Matt on Sunday during the Great American Race.”
The former IMSA driver will also have plenty of teammates at Daytona. Caesar Bacarella and Ray Black Jr. will compete in the other two entries for B.J. McLeod Motorsports in the PowerShares QQQ 300.
